New members welcome
Cantairí Avondale is welcoming new members from September 5th 2022. We are an SATB choir and we rehearse in Club na Múinteoirí on Parnell Square every Monday night. We generally perform two concerts per year along with a number of other smaller gigs. We sing a wide variety of classical and contemporary music. If you’re available on Monday nights from 7.30pm to 10.00pm and enjoy a good night of singing and making music why not give us a quick email on cantairiavondale@gmail.com for more information or to arrange an audition.
We are always on the look-out for good singers to join our ensemble.
If you’re tempted to join us then, here are some things that you should be willing and able to:
Join us every Monday evening between September and June for rehearsals from 7.30 to 9.00 pm. Attendance and commitment is very important. Note: Due to current health restrictions we are rehearsing via Zoom. We have arrangements in place to hold socially-distant, in-person rehearsals compliant with Government guidelines when Dublin returns to Level 2.
Participate in extra rehearsals prior to performances and in our annual weekend workshop in late January
Participate in our concerts and performances at choral festivals and competitions
Hold your line when singing with others
Work on your music between rehearsals.
Love music!
Sight-reading ability is an advantage but is not a requirement
