Verdi's Requiem

On 1 April 2019, Cantairi Avondale will join forces with our friends in Co-Orch Dublin and Dun Laoghaire Choral Society to perform the iconic Verdi’s Requiem in Dublin’s Olympia Theatre in aid of the Marie Keating Foundation..

This production brings together a 75-piece symphony orchestra led by celebrated violinist Michael D’Arcy and over 100 singers conducted by our Musical Director, John Doyle,

Acclaimed Irish soloists Sandra Oman (Soprano), David Howes (Bass), Raphaela Mangan (Mezzo-soprano) and David Lynn (Tenor) will complete the ensemble.

Co-Orch Dublin was set up in 2011, to support Irish musicians, composers, conductors and charities As its name suggests, Co-Orch is a cooperative. This means that all aspects of the orchestra’s life are chosen by its members including the concert programmes, dates and partner charities. To date, Co-Orch has raised over €150,000 for ARC Cancer Support, the Children’s Rights Alliance, Saplings School, GOAL, Spinal Injuries Ireland, Barnardos, The Red Door School, The Laura Brennan Children’s Trust, Turn2Me, Focus Ireland, the Immigrant Council of Ireland and Operation Smile.

Dun Laoghaire Choral society is one of Ireland’s premiere choirs regularly performing with Artists such as Andrea Bocelli and Katherine Jenkins in venues such as Dublin’s 3 arena and National Concert Hall.

We should be able to avail of corporate matching for this event, which will mean that each €20 ticket will be worth €40 to The Marie Keating Foundation.

You can purchase your tickets using the button below.
